From deepening economic inequality to disinformation, climate inaction, and declining trust in government and institutions, our sector faces mounting challenges. Many of us are grappling with where to next: what to change and what to scale to lead movements that meet our ambitions. These realities demand bold innovation, cross-sector collaboration, and a fresh approach to building relationships with communities, government, and each other.

Leadership 2025 is where we’ll meet this moment together.

It's up to us — the leaders and thinkers who drive Australia's civil society movement - to step up and lead the creative and courageous conversations needed to improve our nation's future. Steering away from the 'typical' conference format, Leadership is designed to do just that — allowing CEO-level leaders across established non profits and unions, emerging organisations and philanthropy the space to share knowledge, build trust and form unusual alliances for change.

Here’s what participants had to say about PREVIOUS Leadership CONFERENCES:

WHAT’S ON THE AGENDA:

  • Strengthening democracy: Rebuilding trust, combatting disinformation, and engaging government meaningfully.

  • Economic fairness: Addressing the immediate needs of communities while laying the foundation for visionary progress.

  • Collaboration: Designing how we work together across movements and sectors during this next term of government.

  • Justice across our work: With a specific focus on First Nations justice and disability inclusion, we will explore the work we need to do ourselves to ensure our sector includes us all.

This year’s program will feature international experts, insights from the philanthropic sector, and CEO-level collaboration on critical topics. Alongside keynotes and panels, facilitated discussions will draw on the expertise of those in the room to design solutions, share strategies, and set our shared agenda for the years ahead.
